The Foodie Bugle Lectures at Thyme At Southrop Manor

The very first of a series of Foodie Bugle Lectures are going to be held on Friday 23rd March 2012 in the very beautiful barns of Thyme at Southrop Manor, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, GL7 3NX www.thymeatsouthrop.co.uk.

We are inviting ten of the prominent food and drink artisans and retailers, food and travel writers, photographers, chefs, cookbook authors, kitchen gardeners, growers and publishers that we have featured in the last ten editions of The Foodie Bugle to each deliver 15 minute talks to a foodie audience. They will talk openly about their work, what sort of business and activities they have set up, what challenges they have faced, what they hope to achieve in the future and, if they could turn back the hands of time, what they would have done differently if they had known then what they know now.

This sharing of knowledge and bringing together of collaborative minds will enable people from all parts of the food and drink industry to meet, learn, ask questions, share information, pitch ideas and be inspired by one another in a friendly and open environment. These are just some of the speakers:

Trevor Herbert, Managing Director of Hobbs House Bakery, Bistro and Butchery (www.hobbshousebakery.co.uk)

Chantal Coady, the founder of Rococo Chocolates (www.rococochocolates.com) and The Academy of Chocolate (www.academyofchocolate.org.uk)

Sir William Hanham, owner of Deans Court (www.deanscourt.org) in Dorset

Thane Prince, cookery writer and teacher (www.thanecooks.blogspot.com)

Todd Trethowan, owner of multi-award winning Trethowans Dairy (www.trethowansdairy.co.uk)

Caryn Hibbert, owner of the Southrop Manor Estate, its award winning pub, cookery school, holiday cottages and gardens (www.thymeatsouthrop.co.uk)

We will be announcing more names shortly.

The Thyme team will welcome you all with teas, coffees, biscuits and cold drinks and we will all enjoy a delicious, seasonal home grown lunch cooked by the cookery school Chefs Daryll Taylor and Marj Lang.
