Apple Scrumble

by Silvana de Soissons14th September 2011

For all the photo shoots in The Foodie Bugle we are forever on the lookout for really attractive, good value vintage kitchenalia and retro styling. This week our search took us to Leominster, a very attractive market town in Shropshire, not too far from foodie Ludlow. There we found a shop called Apple Scrumble, at 24 Broad Street, and it is the brainchild of Caroline Lee and Jennifer Venables.

In it you will find a very attractive mix of Oriental style and European furnishings, pottery, china, linens, pictures, textiles, enamelware and books. It is a very eclectic mix of the pretty, the useful, the practical and the frivolous.

The skill is in the editing: the shop is not cluttered or overfilled, and it encompasses two shop rooms, where there is space to walk around and explore. It is a joyful and delightful experience.
