I am organising a guided foodie tour of Bath – starting with coffee, tea, pastries and other breakfast goodies at 10.00 am in our grocery shop-tearoom here, followed by a really comprehensive walk around the city, taking in the best of the architecture and history of this world famous UNESCO World Heritage City.
I am going to show you the best of the cafes, tearooms, shops, markets and independent, artisan traders that make this city such a special place to live and work.
There will be delicious food and drink tasting stops dotted around, and I am going to tell you all about the Roman, Medieval, Saxon and Georgian architecture, events and characters that have made Bath so interesting and important as a centre for art, music, culture, literature, health and, of course, food and drink!
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing, we hope the weather is bright, light and warm, but if not please bring waterproofs.
There will be plenty of opportunity to rest and relax during the walking tour, which is why we are taking all day over it.
If you need a place to stay while you are here, please visit the Visit Bath website and also this Telegraph review of hotels is useful There is also a Landmark Trust house you could stay in, Elton House in Abbey Green.
