A Photography Workshop with Jason Ingram

In our upstairs workshops we will be hosting a one day photography course with award winning photographer Jason Ingram in March.

Jason is a multi-award winning garden-food-people-lifestyle photographer who has been commissioned by many lifestyle magazines, ranging from Country Living, House and Garden, Gardens Illustrated, Coast and The English Garden as well as national newspapers, like The Telegraph and The Observer, and international book publishers, such as Octopus and Ebury Publishing. He has taught a wide range of photography workshops, helping budding photographers hone their skills to take really great images for personal or professional use. You can see Jason at work over on Instagram – follow his account @jasoningram, or over on Twitter @jasonphotos.

I have worked with Jason on a number of magazine, website, PR, cookbook and editorial photoshoots and we will show you how to prepare for a photoshoot, how to source and organise props, write a photoshoot timesheet, create a frame, maximise natural light, stylise and edit a picture and create photos that you will be proud to show on social media, your website or blog or even send to press or a publisher.

This workshop is aimed at those who already have some familiarity with using a camera. Please bring your own SLR camera, tripod, spare memory card and batteries.

Please wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes.

The day will begin in our upstairs workshops, where you will be welcomed with hot and cold drinks, artisan pastries, homemade cakes and biscuits.

Jason will show you how to shoot a product, a room, a stylised still life frame, food, flowers and a person.

After a seasonal lunch with wine, we will venture out into the beautiful city of Bath where Jason will show you how to shoot a building, a street and a landmark.

Please wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes.
