The Period House Shops

Three of the most inspirational salvage and vintage shops in Britain are located in Warwick, Shrewsbury and Ludlow and are under the same ownership. The Period House Shops are temples of retro: from Bakelite switches to ironmongery, wooden kitchen units, old work wear, linen tea towels, brass taps and wooden beading, it’s all there for the rummaging. Simon Holloway and his wife Libby spend all day immersed in some of the rarest and most interesting domestic artefacts you can find and, mainly, they are reproduced from old designs. It is an educational and inspirational experience to set foot in one of their shops, and do admire how the shops are fitted when you are there. The clock stopped circa 1930 – 1940.
