Barista job vacancy at The Foodie Bugle Shop in Bath

We are looking for a hard working barista for our small Bath tasting tearoom - cafe.

 

We have a very busy grocery-homewares shop at 7 Margaret’s Buildings, Bath, BA1 2LP {between the Royal Crescent and The Circus} and in one part of our shop customers can taste and try-before-they-buy our delicatessen food and drink – including Easy Jose coffees, loose leaf teas, cordials, wines, ales, sandwiches, salad platters, quiches, smoked salmon, charcuterie and cheeses plates, cakes and biscuits.

 

The job specifications

 

Helping to prepare and serve excellent coffees and teas, as well as tasting plates and cake platters

 

Keeping the tearoom and its kitchen area spotlessly clean, tidy and prepared

 

Keeping the tearoom stock fresh and organised every day

 

Assisting at tasting events and supper club evenings

 

Working with the grocery staff to develop and grow the coffee-tea-tasting plate offering of our retail business

 

Opening times:

 

Monday – Sunday 8am – 6pm, during the winter, with longer opening hours at night. Evening events between 6pm and 9pm.

 

Different shift hours are available – both morning and afternoon. You must be able to work at least two weekends out of four, and be able to commit to at least 30-40 hours per week. 

 

Candidate Qualifications

 

Previous experience as a barista in a café or tearoom

 

Passion for artisan food and drink

 

Good work ethic, manners, motivation, attention to detail and positive attitude to business

 

Ability to train and work in an organised team

 

Cheery disposition and a sense of humour

 

You must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom

 

Local Bath residents preferred
